Does wearing a little bit of foundation on your cheeks give you pimples or blocked pores?

i only wear a really little bit

and i eat healthily and follow good skin habits|||All foundations blocks your pores. But if you wash your face with hot water then rinse with cold water you should be OK.cold water helps to close the pores so dirt can not go into your pores.I do the everyday and night and I do not brake out.You do not need to get all types of skin cream all the time.|||Depends on the foundation - but usually it wont give you very many pimples. If you%26#039;re going to be wearing foundation regularly, then you should use a facial cleanser every evening (I reccomend St Ives cleansers) to prevent blocked pores. Wearing foundation on only your cheeks can often stand out in some lighting, so you should put a thin layer of it on nearly all of your face. If you just want color on your cheeks, then you should go for a powder.

The best you can do is keep pores debris-free with thorough cleansing, exfoliation, masks and professional facials - all will help make pores appear slightly smaller.

Home remedies for the treatment and care for large pores

Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply witch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.

Bran and Grapefruit is also used to tightens large pores.

Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

If enlarged pores are due to blackheads stretching the entrance of the pore, then firstly remove blackheads using one of the above methods, then to contract pores, blend (one or your preferred mixture) of camphor, sage and / or thyme in a base of jojoba oil. Use as a compress or mix in with your moisturiser and apply to affected areas. Jojoba is easily absorbed into the skin and balances oil levels (which may assist in reducing blackheads as sebum production is regulated).

To Tighten and Refine Pores:

Whip the white of an egg and add a pinch of alum (drug store) and apply to the skin as a mask. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes then rinse off with warm water. (never hot water!)

Peel and slice 1/2 a cucumber and puree in a blender or processor. Add 1 TBSP of plain yogurt. Mix well and apply to skin. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes then wipe off with a damp wash cloth or rinse with warm water. Cucumber contains amino and organic acids. This blend will cool, refresh skin and tighten pores.

Do large pores make your face oily?

I have oily skin even with using good skin care and make up products for oily skin. I have noticed my pores are large. I guess I%26#039;m missing something in my skin care regimen. Is the fact that my pores are large contributing to my oily skin? If so, I guess I need to solve the pore issue...Help?|||SEXYNYREDNECK is correct in saying that it is oily skin that begets large pores, not the opposite. If you are wanting to refine your skin making the pores less noticeable, or at least keeping them at bay, your best bet is to get on a good daily exfoliate like glycolic. Keeping the dead skin cells from building up over a pore lets the oil flow freely without getting backed up in the pore. A pore typically enlarges because the oil flow is stronger than the pore can accommodate. So keep it free of dead skin cells. Make-up should be fine for your skin, but you must wash it off every night so that while you sleep the oil can flow freely out of the skin.

If you think that the oil coming out of your skin is extra thick in nature, you could have some success in getting the oil to turn more fluidy by taking acne vitamins. You should be able to get them from a good health food store. The less gummy, and more fluid your oil is, the easier it flows out of the skin.|||I think it%26#039;s the other way around. I think oily skin makes you have larger pores. Hormones play a large factor in this. I have pcos which causes my skin to go crazy. Don%26#039;t try to cover it up. That only clogs your pores and makes them even bigger! You know what works great, are those clean and clear oil blotting pads. They are great for at home or on the go.|||I agree with her and you should also use biore pore minimizer it really helps oily skin.

What's the best way to get rid of acne and huge pores?

Large Pores Treatment - Home remedies

SUGAR SCRUB

Ingredients: 1 Tablesoon each of sugar, olive oil and honey.

Wet face, apply scrub by rubbing very gently in a circular motion. Remove with water with hands only.

EGG WHITE MASK

Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands.

Note: As egg whites dry, they linghten the skin and pull debris out of pores. Lemon is a natural fruit acid which also helps to exfoliate.

Or you may try the following to treat large pores

1) Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply withch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.

2) Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

3) Add lemon juice and a little milk to oatmeal. Apply the paste and remove after 20 minutes with water. Do not use if there are eruptions.

Tips on reducing large pores

Stop using harsh toners or astringents on the affected areas. Using these products may have a very temporary %26#039;tightening%26#039; effect on pores, but it%26#039;s extremely short-lived. In fact, harsh astringents actually encourage oil glands to over-produce oil, leading to an increase in the size of pores.

Avoid putting moisturiser on the area as the skin produces quite enough moisture and oil on its own and doesn%26#039;t need more.

Makeup tips to hide the appearance of large pores

Heavy foundations will draw attention to your large pores. So, stay with a sheer, light and oil free foundation.

Apply foundation, concealer, powder and blusher in a downward motion, otherwise you%26#039;ll accentuate pores by pushing colour up and into them.

dermabrasion? chemical peels? etc? Only looking for answers from those who have tried various methods|||Hello,

I%26#039;ve had dermabrasion, chemical peels and microdermabrasion and the best for me was without any doubt microderma. It reduced my acne scars and fine wrinkles, minimized my pores and removed blemishes and red spots left by acne. I needed 12 sessions for best results, but it%26#039;s well worth it.

Good luck.

I dont offen get pimples but i do have visilbe pores and i do have some bark spots too...i need to reduce them..can any one help me..?|||take about four aspirin and dissolve them in a few drops of water.. add in a squirt of honey and make it into a paste.. you can also add in a few vitamin e capsules if ya like.. this can be used as a scrub, mask if left on for ten minutes, and a spot treatment left on over night.. it works like pro active.. i%26#039;ve used both and got the same result with each which is clear skin.. pro active dried my skin out, but aspirin didn%26#039;t.. it%26#039;s a lot cheaper also..

oh.. and pro active contains benzoil peroxide.. whereas aspirin contains salicylic acid ..

another thing i do as an exfoliate is i scrub my face with an electric toothbrush.. it%26#039;s sounds kinda weird but it works.. it really cleans out your pores and removes dead skin, oil and dirt.. you can use any scrub ya like or the aspirin i mentioned.. i like to use st. ives.. and i do it about three times a week..

only wash your face when you wake up in the morning, before you go to bed, and after exercise.. excess washing makes your face produce extra oil..

warm water opens pores and cold closes them.. so wash with warm and rinse with cold..

and watch the make up you use.. a mineral make up is much better for your skin.. it doesn%26#039;t clog your pores or cause break outs.. i recommend bare minerals..

and get a good toner and moisturizer.. i use the garnier nutritioniste moisturizer.. lemon juice is a good toner..

drink lots of water.. eat healthy.. and take vitamin e, vitamin c, zinc and b vitamins..

Anyone have a good recommendation to get rid of blackheads and pores for someone with sensitive skin?

Our skin is exposed to a lot of dirt and grime from the environment. These pollutants also collect in the pores with hardened oil. This causes the pores to be further clogged.

Blackheads occur when the trapped sebum and bacteria partially open to the surface. The clogged oil oxidizes with the air and turns black. The clogged contents may remain for very long as it takes a long time to drain to the surface.

Blackheads are very commonly found in the area across your forehead and down your nose and chin (also known as T-zone). Sebaceous glands on this area of the face are very, very active. However they can also occur on other areas of the face, neck, chest, back, shoulder, even arms 鈥?any area that is rich in sebaceous glands.

how to remove:

1. Try not to touch your face...it%26#039;s a hard habit to break but dirt, oil, and germs will get into your face and block your pores.

2. A common myth is that if you have oily skin, you should not moisturise it. This is wrong. If you have oily skin, you need to moisturize it, because if you do not, your skin will produce more oil to compensate. Try a good oil-free moisturizer, or Enzymion (from Lush). This is fast-acting and the fruit enzymes in it break down oil on the skin%26#039;s surface- no more shiny noses!

3. Biore and Clean %26amp; Clear are good products. Try Clean %26amp; Clear Black head scrub and Biore nose strips.

4. When you use a nose strip wet your nose with a clean face cloth and then dry your hands.

5. After that open the packet that the nose strip is in, and rip the little tabs for a better fit on your nose.

6. Put the sticky side on your nose and wait for around 10 minutes.

7. After 10 minutes (I suggest that timing) the nose strip should be hard paper mache. Remove it.|||clean your face three time a day with the hottest water you can stand with NO SOAP. product or some type of exfoliating product?|||um...i would take him to dermatology. It could be something other than acne. Usually men go through puberty later than women even, so men usually start around 12 maybe? i dont know exact age.

Dermatology can be pretty difficult to get into, so when you call...kind of %26quot;exaggerate%26quot; his problem...if you dont you will end up waiting like a month or so....Or go see your family doctor and ask him/her

Or better yet, ask to see a Physicians Assistant in Dermatology or Nurse Practitoner, (if they have them at your clinic...) they can look at him as well and you would probably get in sooner. That usually isnt normal for an 8 yr old.

i wouldnt THINK it would hurt to use it on an 8 yr old, maybe something a little bit more mild/for sensitive skin. I would think...but dont hold me to that! Papaya mask/exfoliant

Cut papaya in 1 inch chunks. Blend/mash 2 or 3 chunks and store the wrest in the freezer. Apply the blended/mashed papaya and leave on face for 10-20 min. Use 2 or 3x a week.

The papaya may tingle but that just means that the papaya is working and it is breaking down dead skin cells to give that lovely glow and since it breaks down the dead skin it clears out the pores and in turn they shrink!!! (You may not see the results you want until you use it for a while.)

Egg white mask

1 egg white

1 tsp. cornstarch

Beat ingredients. Apple to face, let dry 10-15 min. Rinse.

(Tightens pores. Makes you look like you got a mini face lift!!)

Baking soda microdermbrasion/exfoliant recipe

Make a paste with baking soda and water, then gently rub on face and rinse.

Sea salt glow (my favorite!)

Make a paste using olive oil, fresh lemon juice or water to moisten the sea salt. Apply to face and gently rub skin, rinse.

(olive oil is good for dry or normal skin, lemon juice is better for oily or acne prone skin and water can be used for whichever.)

Clay Facial mask

Choose the right clay for your skin type. (French-oily-acne, bentonite-normal, cosmetic or white-any, kaolinite pink-normal-combo, kaolinite white-dry-mature, kaolinite red-sensitive. Add plain water or floral waters or try wetting agents such as fruit purees . Make a thick paste of the clay. Apply the mask to your skin and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Repeat weekly. ( I use french clay)

Open pores and some tip to minimise them ?

i have open pores, what should i do to help them get away for ewver. i get a derma every month and favcials and also cleanse every day. still i have them please tell me some break through

what exactly is required to keep pores to min , my pores get worse in humid and hot climate .|||Well first off, you dont want to close up your pores. You would get breakouts and massively oily skin, which is no fun. What you can do is minimize the appearance of the pores. Use an astringent toner before bed. Wash your face with COLD water (this dialates your pores, making them close up a bit). Try not to use hot water on your face at all. Hot water opens your pores. USe a spray toner during the day, this also %26quot;shrinks%26quot; your pores a bit, so they are less noticable. I also have large pores, I%26#039;m not too worried about them tho- I used a pore shrinking product once, and since my pores closed up, the oil built up under my skin and I looked like I had acne within 2 weeks, it was horrible. Keep in mind that 99% of the time people with large pores also have oily skin- and you don%26#039;t want to trap the oil under your skin!

So, use cold water on your face, especially before false tanning. Use an astringent toner on your face ONLY at night. Use a spray toner during the day, something like Dermalogica%26#039;s Multi Active Toner. (It%26#039;s what I use).

Good luck- and remember- those with large pores usually have oily skin- and those with oily skin tend to have their skin age slower and nicer- yay!

Humid and hot air happens to open your pores more and more. Try using sunblock or sunscreen to decrease the UV rays that bounce into your skin, especially if your skin is sensitive, use 30 SPF. Also use clean and clear, it;s a very nice product for for open pores. Use daily, scrub, and then rinse. Morning and night. ]

Home Remedies to Reduce Appearance of Skin Pores

Large skin pores are usually genetic and are inherited from family members but the other cause of them is oily skin which causes the skin pores appear open and large because of excess sebum production. Nothing much can be done for them but certain things can reduce the size of the pores temporarily.

Large pores should always be kept clean so that there is no dirt and oil left inside the pores to cause pimples, acnes and black heads. One can use gentle facial scrubbers and face packs to tone up the size of the pores. Certain creams have specific ingredients in them to reduce the size of the skin pores LO%26#039;REAL PARIS has few creams in their cosmetic range which promises to reduce the size of the pores of the skin. Cleaning too helps in dealing with the situation. Some home made scrubs and packs are good enough in reducing the appearance of the size of the big and opened skin pores.

Tomato has toning agents in it. If tomato juice has been applied on the skin regularly with a cotton ball and left for 20 minutes, helps in reducing the size of the pores. It shrinks the pores and makes them appear visibly smaller. You can add tomato juice to calamine powder or sandalwood powder, which are good to tone up the skin, which helps in even reducing the size of the pores. These packs help skin to reduce the sebum production and it helps in decreasing the size of the pores.

Mashed papaya applied on the skin helps in toning the pores. You can directly apply a mashes papaya on your skin or can put it over a gauge. You need to wash it off with lukewarm water.

White portion of the egg has skin toning and complexion enhancing ingredients. Whipped egg yolk applied on the skin with a few drops of lemon juice, improves the tone of the skin and reduces the pore size. This pack is extremely good for Middle Ages women.

Honey is equally good to tone up the pores and reduce the oiliness from the skin. It can be applied in any of the facemask or can be directly applied on the skin with a little lemon juice and sugar to it. You can massage it on face and leave it for few minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Honey added to milk powder too helps if applied on the skin.A paste made of salt and butter is helpful in reducing pore size if applied on them.

Regularly use toner on your skin with a cotton ball. To some extent it helps in temporary reducing the size of the pores.

Oatmeal and gram flour are good toning substance. You can add a little lemon juice, rose water and curd to them and apply on the skin. Wash this pack off when it dries. It tones the pores and enhances the complexion.

If you have breakouts on your skin then avoid using lemon juice or any such thing on your skin without a doctor%26#039;s knowledge. Calamine powder and sandalwood powder are safe to be applied on the pimples or acnes.

Always remove make up while going to bed. Never sleep with your make up on. Let the skin breath. Heavy make up left on the skin for long hours too increase the size of the pores.

If you do wax your face, you have more chances to get open pores so always be careful while doing it. Always make sure that you apply a soothing face pack based on calamine or sandalwood on your face after waxing it to close the pores.

You can rub an ice cube on your skin wrapped in a cotton cloth on your face to temporary reduce the size of the pores. Ice shrinks the size of the pores and it%26#039;|||I use an egg white.

This should minimize them, and make them less noticable.

Here%26#039;s what you do:

Take 1 egg into a bowl and take the yolk out.

HINT-be sure not to break the yolk inside the egg white..

Next you take it into the bathroom, and rub the egg white on your face over the sink. This is so it won%26#039;t get sticky on the counter.

After you do that, wait 15-20 minutes and the egg should feel tight aroun dyour face..to a point where this can make it hard to move the face muscles. If you wear glasses, make sure that those are off when you do this.

Finally you can wash it off, you can use a cleaner to wash it off, or just warm water..Do this about every other day.Or every few days.

Hope this helps! =]|||You can steam your face.

Get a bowl of boiling hot water and then put your face over top of the bowl, so the steam comes at your face. Be sure to hold a towel over your head to keep the steam on your face. Stay like this for about 5 minutes and then get ice cubes and put them on your face.

This helps to clean out your pores and then snap them shut again, so they look nice and small.

Good Luck!

What are layers of rock with unconnected pores called?

Shales are examples of rock layers that have many unconnected pores. In Geology, pore space is called porosity and connectivity of pores is called permeability. Shales have high porosity and low permeability.|||Have you looked at sedimentary rocks? They are found in all kinds of places. Go to the beach or a river who cuts down through the layers. I have never quite understood why each Layer changes throughout time: but it does. And each level of rock that shows a change is important. Now if only I had access to something that could tell me which direction the poles were in when this changed...can only be told by the gas trapped in that sediment, and the direction that the little black rocks hold in the polar direction..I could tell if these rocks were layered down softly or hardly..in line with the poles.

OR, you could ask the rocks themselves...be a bit strange, yet everything in existence is determined by rocks...your brain included..the rocks will tell you much...
